LASER RADIATION WARNING SYSTEM TREDEX-LD
Timely detection of the work of laser police speed gauges (lidars) is a very difficult task for radar detectors. The beam of the laser is narrow, the algorithm of the complex is complicated, and most detectors detect its presence too late, if at all it is detected when the speed of the car is already measured and the car of the future recipient of the "happiness letter" is imprinted in the file along with a note of speeding.
Even the most expensive and technically advanced radar detectors with an integrated laser detection unit show very low efficiency against Polyscan lidar, for example. At the same time, the number of lidars on the roads is growing rapidly, as they have a number of advantages over radar speed meters. As a result, conventional radar detectors are becoming almost useless toy on the windshield, no matter how successfully they detect radars, because the risks to fall under the lidar are getting higher, the fines grow and break more and more vast holes in the driver's purse.
Such a sad state of affairs leads to the fact that drivers are trying to resist the lidars by purchasing detectors with a GPS-base of their installation points. Alas, these measures are saved until the lidar is first moved to a new place not noted in such a base, and in fact the drivers remain defenseless against modern police speed measurement systems.
That is why we developed a specialized lidar detector TREDEX-LD. The device is designed to detect the operation of laser speed gauges (police lidars) and to recognize their types. Unlike the existing laser detectors in the radar detectors, TREDEX-LD is able to efficiently operate on the reflected and scattered signal, which means that it will warn you in advance of the danger when the lidar measures the speed of a car that is far ahead of you.
The device recognizes lidars Poliscan, TruCam, Amata, LISD, as well as any other existing and prospective laser speed meters that use the signal with regular parcels in the range from 80 to 2400 Hz in the emission band 800 ... 1000 nm. The sensitivity of the device and, as a consequence, the range of target detection significantly exceed the characteristics of all existing laser radiation detectors, since the receiver module uses the coherent pulse energy storage algorithm. So, for example, the detection range of the micropower Poliscan imitator relative to the Conqueror VP-508 detector is 12 times higher.
Each of our devices is equipped with a simulator of lidars. No statements or even video clips of producers can now be trusted – it is necessary to check. The simulator will allow not only to test the detector's performance, but also to adjust the installation angles in the car.
The delay time for the audio signal does not exceed 320 ms for Poliscan, 40 msec for Amata, and 160 msec for the rest of the laser speed meters. There is a sound indication of the level of the received signal and the modulation frequency, which makes it possible to determine the approaching or getting away from the radiation source, and also to evaluate its type. Dimensions of the device (without a visor) do not exceed 48х48х47 mm, which allows fixing it on the mirror or windshield under the ceiling of the cabin.

At the present time, the device has been tested, pilot production has been started. We are negotiating with potential dealers. Separately considered options for integrating TREDEX-LD into existing and future DVRs and radar detectors. We invite all interested to cooperation.
